Good point CityFan.

Our ego-centric western view skews "world" history. Could the Babylonian empire be anymore of a world power than was France under Napolean? What was China / Japan doing during all this time period? What about American Indians? The Aztecs? Mayans? Trying to apply Daniel's dream backwards into history is quite easy to pick and choose which pieces parts fit the overall "vision".

I think that is part of Def'd's problem. No offense DF. But as Dub's we are told "use your conscience" but never really are allowed to. So while something may be said from the stage is a conscience matter....the unwritten rules / laws of the Congo dictate your behavior. Thus if Dub's are SPECIFICALLY told what to do in each and every instance....they are like lost sheep. They've never made their own decisions for the most part, so haven't developed that part of their personality. Every decision a Dub makes is first and foremost "What would the elders say?" "What would Jehoba want?" "What would other Dub's think if did that?" "What would worldly people think?" Hence why "Jehovah's people" are a miserable lot. They never think for themselves, nor try to make themselves happy first. What a miserable existence. I'm glad I'm out!

Does anyone know of a good church I could go to?

after being a catholic and a jw i am really gun shy about organized religions.

i identify myself simply as a christian.

i am looking for a church to go to for fellowship.

I'm a fan of the Unitarians. But perhaps you should pick 6 faiths and attend one each Sunday or 2 a month or something. Since escaping a closed minded cult maybe expanding your idea of God would be a good start. After your 1st round of 6 religions....eliminate 3 and go for a 2nd round at each three. You might just be surprised at the ideas you grab onto. I explored a lot of religions when I left the WTBS...all the mainline ones except for the Jewish faith and Islam. I learned alot.

Please don't take this the wrong way but all the stuff you have posted is unintelligible. Slow done, take your time, and please use appropriate punctuation, grammar, and capitalization. I'm not trying to be some school teacher mind you, but as it sits now I don't think anyone has a clue what you are talking about. Is English your first language? I would like to understand how you have come to these conclusions and discuss the issues I have with your belief system. As it stands now, I haven't the foggiest what you really mean. Make sense? Hope this helps.

Um, I'm new here...but why is it that people always think they "figured out the code"?

Jesus himself said no one knows the hour or day of his arrival....yet people think they can decode it somehow in the bible and "know" when it's really going to happen. This would make Jesus a liar then no? Also, 100% of those claiming to know an impending date have all been wrong with time marching on and no end yet. The WTBS has been wrong on EVERY date they have proclaimed so far. So track record isn't on your side clocked/clocker.

So I think I'll enjoy October, watch the World Series, enjoy the leaves changing, and not give your "prophesy" any further consideration.
